OANDA - Forex trading App Reviews

Stable and reliable. I must say it exceeds my core expectations. Outside the box it would be nice to have the ability to send call level alerts to my cell phone to track market movements.

Best FX trading app .... If you dont have it ... Something is wrong with you. Get it!!!! What are you waiting for?

Fairly stable trading platform for a phone. Wish there was a larger selection of indicators. But so far not bad at all.

Simple to use, a bit lagging sometimes

The app is solid except for when it glitches out. For instance on the iPad Air my unrealized P/L number freezes. Currently the app wont even open on my iPad because of an "unknown error" minus the bugs, the app is sweet.

I really like this platform and Oanda in general. However, there are really just two things Id like to have: first, I would really like the ability to withdraw from my account through the app. Also, I really wish there was a pip calculator tool similar to the desktop application.

Im fairly new to forex but have tried multiple platforms prior to funding my account with Oanda. A part of the reason to choose then was their app which is very good but could use minor improvements to get it to 5 stars. Theres tons of technical capability on the mobile platform, more than most but then it doesnt do simple things like calculate (or provide) the price per pip like on the desktop platform. It would be nice if you could set price alerts to receive texts or notifications when various currency pairs reach certain price levels so you could check the technicals and decide which direction to go vs just setting up limit orders. Overall this app exceeds that of others like fxcm. Now I just need to recoup my losses from rookie mistakes! Need an app for that :).

Quality

When I was first looking for this app a few months ago, I couldnt even find it in the search bar. Then, when I went to download it, there werent any reviews so it made me skeptical that this was even the real OANDA app. The old version was boring and seemed dated. The subtle changes in this update (February 29, 2016) were much needed. It gives the app a more modern look and some welcomed features. Before it was just boring to look at all day, but now I dont mind to have it open. Thanks for the update guys. Runs as smooth as ever!

This trading platform is the best I have used personally. It blows MT4 out of the water. Especially with the technical analysis tab for the live fx trade accounts! Using this feature along with chart knowledge grants me steady 200.0 plus pip gains.

zero sum game , no matter how user friendly the app is eventually the market wins more than you.

ive been trading for about a month now, and just came across this app a few days ago. its very well-organized, fast, and allows you to do so many things on both demo and live accounts. what sold me was that once i created my account, a representative from Oanda emailed and called me and answered every question i could possibly have asked. he gave great information and has made me a long-time user.

Im a big fan of Oanda. Love the app as well. One thing Ive noticed is the bollinger bands do not appear to be identical to the full screen version of the platform. But its not enough to sway my opinion as I would never trade solely from my phone. On the new version, moving the time frame may also interfere with the choices on the bottom. Sometimes moving from daily to hourly frame, I hit the New Order button and I have fairly small fingers. Overall though, Ive been very happy with the app.
